CELL WALL 
The cell wall is a very important; The cell wall is made up of cellulose and gives plants a rigid look, strength and structure. 

Located:In plants,bacteria,algae/fungi.
The cell wall is very important; it is used to support the plant and keep it held up! Other wise it would be a blob of  jelly and viruses or other bacteria could get into the cell and kill it! 

 A bacterial cell wall: It is the target for antibiotic treatment! Its composed of disaccharides and amino acids. GIves bacteria the strutural support it needs  

 Algae cell wall: fibrillar, matrix and crystalline polymers make it up; they also allow it to interact with ions plus water! 

 Fungal cell wall: Has a dynamic structure; that structure proctects the cell from osmotic pressure changes and enviromental stress all while still allowing it to interact with its surroundings.

 I learned more about the bacteria and fungi cell well, things i didnt know. I find it very cool and surprising that without the cell wall everything would just all fail ! I knew it was what held the cell up to maintain its structure.  I already knew alomst everything about the plant cell wall. 
Outside of bio The cell wall helps us distinguish a plant from an animal cell.

    I like how your information was kind laid out instead of all mushed together; the picture helped a lot too! I thought it very interesting how a cell can just completely fail without a cell wall too, its crazy how something so small can mean so much! I love how you included different types of cell walls, your post is really really good!

    The way your information was laided out was great. Your picture really helped me understand the cell wall. I would've put a little bit more color to it but overall it was great.

What is a mutation? A mutation is any change in the DNA sequence.  There are three types of mutations: * addition: One or more nucleotide base pairs are inserted into a DNA sequence (also called frameshift mutation)  *deletion: The removal of one or more nucleotides in a DNA sequence (also called frameshift mutation) *substitution: A mutation that exchanges one or more bases for another (also called point mutation) How do they occur & why? Mutations for randomly, but different mutations occur different ways.  Most of the time a mutation comes from radiation (so like the sun, X-rays, tanning salons, etc). Some mutations can be genetic though, like autism. Autism is caused when theres an extra chromosome. Another common mutation would be cancer.
