Transcription
Transcription is when the DNA strand is copied into the mRNA. DNA then safely stores genetic material in the nucleus as templets. mRNA is almost the same as DNA because it stores the same information but it doesn't store it as long term and is able to exit the nucleus.
Reflection: I learned that even though mRNA copied the exact DNA, it is not the identical copy because it is complementary to the DNA sequence.
