Enzymes: Hailey Holovnia
What is an enzyme?-
An enzyme is a macromolecular biological catalysts. Enzymes are a type of protein that help speed up chemical reactions.
Reflection-
When it comes to enzymes, the only thing I really knew was that it had something to do with DNA, proteins and chemical reactions. When we started learning about enzymes, I was surprised to find out that each one had a different function within the body. For example, we use enzymes when we eat, and even to manage/use energy. Personally, I loved learning about enzymes. I think it's fun to learn about how and why your body does what it does.

The picture helped me a little better.
ReplyDeleteHow does this effect your metabolism?
Enzymes help with digestion.
I really liked how your stuff is in order and makes the facts more clearer but also gave me a clearer visual. I can relate to your reflection because the information that followed with this topic was something that I enjoyed, the labs that went a long with it also. You hit everything about the enzymes, however you missed that an Enzyme can be used over and over again.
ReplyDeleteYour post really proves you know what you are talking about! How EXACTLY do enzymes work? I think you could've gone into more detail or givin more information.
ReplyDeleteYour post gave me some knowledge I personally didn't know before. Like Lilyan said, it does show that you know your stuff when it comes to Enzymes! How are enzymes used exactly? Are they used over and over again, or are they a one time thing? Try elaborating on that part of the topic and possibly explain the process of enzymes when it comes to substrates.
ReplyDeleteYour post could have been more descriptive. You had good visuals. Your reflection was very informative
